"The Lost Flower" 0.2.0-alpha release!


Hello Friends,

This update is also a feature update we add so many new things, remove some bugs, and in this devlog, I will give you all updates.

Features-

  • MAJOR UPDATE- Added Boss Level added special boss level setting up some storyline boss level has multiple elements these elements are created as a separate scene.
  • MAJOR UPDATE- 2 more levels added one is a special secret place and another level.
  • MAJOR UPDATE- Added Items and special powers in the game (You can see items in the pause menu if you get any one of them).
  • Added Death counter which counts how many times the player died, actually at the start this game is a puzzle platformer but as this game is in progress it converted in more like an action platformer so we added death count.
  • Added High Score record system, when you complete the game and get the End screen then after you see the main menu you will see the total time and death you take to complete the game at the bottom of the screen.
  • Changed dialog box design.
  • Added Camera shake effect, I made a script that makes each level camera shake and multiple types of screen shake it will give a nice feel in the game.
  • added more player particle effects but they have some errors so need to be solved (Minor Bugs).
  • added new fonts to give more feel.

Bugs Solved-

  • Game timer system has a bug so I decided to change it to autoload system and recreate it using Godot autoload global script.
  • Main menu bug is when you play the game it will reset everything you have so I change its name to a new game and level menu name to continue and added more programmatic changes to them.
  • Minor bug in player movements resolved
